✨ 4th Grade Highlight ✨ We are so thankful for interactive lessons! The goal of the 4th grade math lesson was for students to use what they have learned about place value and multiplication to solve division problems! Students used base ten blocks to represent division problems and the solutions. Students were able to relate basic multiplication facts to help solve the problems.

✨ 5th Grade Highlight ✨ The students in Ms. Hughes' class are learning about physical and chemical changes in science! They had the opportunity to experience a chemical change when they mixed baking soda with vinegar and saw how the balloon expanded. Combining baking soda and vinegar produced carbon dioxide and water, which inflated the balloon. We are so thankful for the hands-on learning our teachers provide students.

We are so proud of our students who performed this past week in the band concert! Thank you to our Pride for coming out to support these students. Thank you to Mr. Yost for teaching and pouring into our band students, you are an asset to our Pride. A special thank you goes out to Rawlinson Road Baptist Church for hosting this concert.

The winners of our first halftime contest! First place received a jump pass to Adventure Air and second place received a coupon to Jersey Mikes. We are looking forward to our next home game on Monday, December 11, at 6:30 against Midlands STEM! Come out to support our Lions!

💙 WELCOME to the Pride 💙 Help us welcome Ms. Hyleman's newest son, Easton to the Pride! He was born on November 30, 2023. We are so excited for this new addition to our Riverwalk family!

Lions' Legacy is an after-school club focused on service learning! Students in this club made posters to hang around the school advertising our 3rd-5th grade food/hygiene product collection in their last meeting! 3rd-5th grade families, please consider donating items for this collection. Everything collected will go to a local homeless shelter and food pantry. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Carney, Lions' Legacy Advisor, at tcarney@riverwalkacademy.com.

✨ Third Grade Highlight ✨ We're celebrating fantastic behavior in 3rd grade while taking a quick break from learning, after students beat their teacher in "Teacher vs. Student"! A coloring contest was the chosen reward for whoever reached 10 points first in the game. Staff will judge their pieces of art to determine a winner! This makes for a great "brain break" too!!!
